The SMARTFOX Booster works with any single-phase heating element up to 3 kW / 16 A. With the Booster Extension, the system becomes three-phase and reaches up to 9 kW total power – including extra relay for pumps or a 2nd heating element.

Extra relay for circulation pump control or switching to a 2nd heating element – directly integrated, no external module needed.
2× PT1000 Inputs
Both inputs for external temperature sensors (storage stratification, outside, room, buffer) – both alternatively as digital input: HP emergency heating activation or §14a EnWG shutdown when signal active.

One Device
From simple standalone operation with timer to a fully integrated system with SMARTFOX Energy Manager – the Booster grows with your requirements.
Stand-Alone (Grid + Heating Element)
The Booster controls the heating element directly from the grid – by timer, dynamic electricity rates (aWATTar, Tibber) or temperature setpoint. Includes frost protection, legionella protection, and cloud connection.
With PV Inverter (Direct-Link)
Via Direct-Link, the Booster reads PV surplus directly from the inverter via Modbus TCP – no smart meter, no manager required. Additional surplus control for maximum self-consumption.
With SMARTFOX Energy Manager
In the fully integrated system, the SMARTFOX Manager coordinates inverters, smart meters, and multiple Booster devices (Master/Slave via RS485) – up to 9 kW total power with cloud connection.
Standalone – Without Energy Manager
Read inverter data directly via TCP/Modbus – completely without SMARTFOX Manager or Smart Meter.
